The American Dental Association (ADA) is the largest dental organization in the United States. It offers education and benefits to dentists and helps to regulate the dentistry field around the nation. Your dentist, Dr. Higham and Dr. Sauchelli are members of the ADA and as such, have signed the ADA Principles of Ethics and Code of Professional Conduct. That means you are safe in their hands. Here’s why:

The ADA Principles of Ethics covers four basic principles that all dentists should follow:

-Respect your wants and needs as a patient
-Do no harm
-Always do good
-Treat all people with fairness and kindness

Dr. Higham and Dr. Sauchelli not only agreed to follow these principles, but they wholeheartedly agree with them and strive to incorporate them into their daily care services.

The ADA Code of Professional Conduct involves following several regulatory procedures. These include keeping confidential patient records, only offering treatments for which our dentists have had the proper education and training, treating all people fairly regardless of race, religion, gender or ethnicity, making arrangements for dental emergencies, offering referrals for dental specialists, staying away from alcohol and drugs while on the job, controlling infection and disease in the office, maintaining professional relationships, reporting signs of abuse or neglect, and being honest and trustworthy in patient education and finances.
